After a bit of nervous searching and waiting in the dark, I finally managed to get the full Nokia service bulletin with detailed change log from my "trusted mole" penetrated deeply into Nokia software labs.
So just in case you are still in doubt is it really worth a try to download the latest update for the Nokia N97 or not, here is one of the shortest change logs that I have ever seen which will make your choice much easier.
The change log itself is pretty disappointing and the latest software release brings nothing new unfortunately.
Firmware version 12.x.xx is obviously released just to fix some minor issues discovered since the last update and to bring an updated version of OVI Store application but at least phone remains hackable which makes Nokia N97 truly open to anything.
Anyway, here is the full change log, a bit changed to protect my source and few lines that are totally irrelevant for end users have been removed.
